The Kikelet Winery is a family-owned winery founded in 2002 by Stéphanie Berecz and Zsolt Berecz. Their goal has always been to demonstrate the exceptionally high quality the Tokaj wine region can achieve on a global scale, as well as the remarkable aging potential these wines hold. To support this vision, they made the somewhat unconventional decision at the time to purchase vineyards planted on loess soil – and time has fully confirmed the wisdom of their choice.
We took over the estate founded by our parents at the foot of the Tokaj mountain in 2008 and founded the Myrtus Winery. This was the year our first wines were made. The three hectares of our vineyards are located in the Vigyorgó, Mester-völgy, Lestár and Betsek Vineyards. Our goal is to produce beautiful, well-balanced wines for lovers of Tokaj wines.
